How to get to Riverside?

From Abroad

Fly to OR Tambo/Johannesburg International Airport, then a domestic flight to Phalaborwa Airport gets you to within an hours drive from Riverside where you will be collected by someone from Riverside. (Contact Lynne at river-edu@mweb.co.za for assistance and confirmation of dates etc.)

South African Travel Directions

From Johannesburg take the N1 North to Pietersburg / Polokwane (capital of the Limpopo Province). From Pietersburg take the R71 to Tzaneen/Phalaborwa. Approximately 29 km from Tzaneen towards Phalaborwa turn off left on the R529 towards Giyani. Follow this road for exactly 10 km and find the Riverside Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre name board on your left. Follow this dirt road for 1,8 km and your there.
